Begin with the definition of ideology and ideological framework
- Explain how ideology presents itself in actions, thoughts, words, product

Introduce the SCWAMP framework -
- Identify what is acceptable according to this framerwork:
- Straight, Christian, White, Able-Bodied, Male, Propertied
- Identify what is not acceptable according to this framework:
- Homosexuality, other faiths, non-White, disabilities, female, poverty
Identify how the framework is upheld in society

Identify how the framework is upheld in a television show (students choose from own knowledge)

The viewer can be both a product generally and resistant. The old structure versus agency debate. Like you mention elsewhere, M, there is a great deal of grey.
I haven’t seen the movie, but I imagine an interracial relationship rocks the boat in some way within the narrative world. There is an affair and most likely the two break up and get back together or are good friends.
In the real world, I think most people still think for themselves but are heavily influenced by their environment. It seems that not much has changed in Hollywood representations, but maybe I should see this movie.
